Who I Am
Trayn is a fitness platform that connects personal trainers with their clients in India. It is operated by me, Akhil Rao Takkallapally ("I", "me", or "my"). The platform is accessible at app.gettrayn.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Trayn — both personal trainers and their clients. By creating an account and using Trayn, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Health & Medical Disclaimer
Trayn does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All workout plans, nutrition recommendations, progress tracking tools, and fitness insights are provided for informational and educational purposes only. Users should consult a qualified physician or healthcare professional before beginning any exercise or nutrition program.

Trainer Responsibility
Personal trainers using Trayn are independent professionals. Trayn acts solely as a technology platform that enables trainers and clients to communicate and manage fitness programs. Trayn is not responsible for the accuracy, safety, effectiveness, or legality of advice provided by trainers through the platform.

Exercise & Injury Waiver
Users acknowledge that participation in physical exercise involves inherent risks, including injury, illness, or other adverse outcomes. By using Trayn and following any workout recommendations provided through the platform, users voluntarily assume these risks.
Trayn strongly recommends consulting a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise programme.

Nutrition Disclaimer
Nutrition plans and dietary recommendations provided through Trayn are intended for general informational purposes only and do not constitute medical nutrition therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. Users with specific dietary needs or health conditions should consult a registered dietitian or physician.

Results Disclaimer
Individual fitness and health results vary based on numerous factors including genetics, lifestyle, adherence, and individual health conditions. Trayn does not guarantee specific fitness, weight loss, muscle gain, performance, or health outcomes.

I do not collect location data, contacts, or any device sensor data beyond what you explicitly provide.

Camera & Media Permissions
Trayn requests access to your camera and photo library solely for the following purposes:
— Progress photos — clients may upload body progress photos for visual tracking with their trainer.
— Form check videos — clients may upload exercise form videos for review and feedback by their trainer.
— Profile avatar — trainers and clients may upload a profile photo.
Trayn does not access, read, or store any media unrelated to these features. Camera and photo library access is only triggered when you explicitly initiate an upload action within the app.

How I Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to operate and improve Trayn. Specifically:
— To provide trainers with the tools to manage their clients, assign workout and diet plans, and track progress.
— To give clients a personalised training experience including progress scoring, streak tracking, and coach feedback.
— To process payments securely through Razorpay.
— To send transactional emails (account-related notifications) via Resend.
— To send push notifications for session reminders, streak alerts, and payment updates via Expo Push Notifications.
— To improve the platform based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
I do not sell your data. I do not use your data for advertising. I do not share your data with any third party except the infrastructure providers listed below.

Where Your Data Lives
All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai, India) AWS region. Your data does not leave India.
Progress photos and form check videos are stored in private Supabase storage buckets. They are not publicly accessible and are only visible to you and your assigned trainer.

Third-Party Services
I use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Trayn:

Data Retention
I retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data — including profile information, workout logs, diet logs, progress photos, and form check videos — is permanently deleted within 24 hours.
If you are a client and request data deletion without deleting your account, your trainer is notified and required to action the request within 30 days.
Payment records may be retained as required by Indian tax and financial regulations.

Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the app — go to your Profile screen and select Delete Account. All data is permanently removed within 24 hours.

Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and applicable Indian law, you have the right to:
— Access the personal data I hold about you.
— Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via your profile settings.
— Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile screen.
— Request data deletion as a client without deleting your account, via the data deletion request flow in your profile.
— Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
— Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, I have designated a Grievance Officer to address any concerns or complaints about the handling of your personal data.
Grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days of receipt.

Children's Privacy
Trayn is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. I do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact me and I will delete the account promptly.

Security
I take security seriously. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies — meaning each user can only access their own data. Sensitive operations such as account deletion are handled server-side with restricted service role keys, not exposed to the client.
No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to me responsibly at the email below.

Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy as the product evolves. When I make material changes, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Trayn after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
